What happened to Home Care Packages?

Home Care Packages were replaced by the Support at Home program on 1 November 2025. CHSP still exists and is not expected to transition before 1 July 2027.

Do I need to be assessed first?

For funded work, yes. My Aged Care arranges the assessment and decides your eligibility. You can also pay privately without any assessment.

Under Support at Home, your budget arrives quarterly.
Price caps apply to services on the list from 1 July 2026.
